Interactive distance learning (IDL) is a relatively new term in training and education. It refers to use of interactive technologies, such as satellite, cable and telephone transmission, to allow the exchange of learning to occur between teacher and student (or instructor and employee) while actually in different locations. IDL may also use CD ROM, file server, intranet, or even internet technology as a means to digitally store interactive courses or lessons, which are sent to geographically or physically dispersed students or employees. Scheduling and time of use is then in the hands of the student or immediate local supervisor, providing significant flexibility to everyone. We have significant experience in designing, producing, and delivering interactive distance learning courses and lessons, tailored to clients' needs. To maximize student involvement with material and the retention of learning, we incorporate the finest in digital imaging and the use of frequent student interaction (via keypad, keyboard, or mouse) - throughout the learning process. Response patterns and performance data can even be recorded for analysis of results. If the flexibility of interactive distance learning can help satisfy the training or educational needs of your organization or agency, contact us for more information on how we can help turn a need into a reality.
